My Therapeutic Style & Approach
My approach to therapy is centered around getting to know you as a person and what you uniquely need. I aim to create a space that feels warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely understood. Building a real, trusting connection is important to me because that is often where the most meaningful change begins.
I have been practicing for about two years and have a background in both education and mental health counseling. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an art educator, which still shows up in my work today. I enjoy bringing in creativity and more interactive approaches when it feels helpful.
I often work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, self-esteem challenges, patterns of self-criticism, or have a history of trauma. I approach trauma work with care, moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable, and focusing on building a sense of stability and trust along the way. Together we might focus on understanding your thought patterns, building coping skills, and finding ways to be a little kinder to yourself.
I also incorporate mindfulness techniques when it feels like a good fit while recognizing that slowing down and turning inward can feel uncomfortable at first, so we take it at your pace. I tend to draw from cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approaches, but more importantly, I try to meet you where you are. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and supportive with space for both validation and gentle challenge.
If you are looking for a therapist who will listen, be real with you, and help you make sense of what you are going through, I would love to connect.
