My Therapeutic Style & Approach
Mental health impacts every part of our lives, from how we connect and interact with others, to how we participate in work or school, to how we engage in leisure activities and complete daily tasks. I love to help people improve their current quality of life by diving into the past to settle any unfinished business.
I have anxiety and ADHD, so I have been in your shoes as a person seeking mental health services and can empathize with how difficult that can be. Having my start at a liberal arts college surrounded by students from all over the world, from different backgrounds and orientations, I am equipped in creating a safe and comfortable environment for all people. I have experience working in correctional facilities and outpatient therapy settings and have worked with adolescents and adults. My goal for all my clients is to help them expand their “tool belts” to better be able to cope with all of life’s stressors.
Building on Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioral counseling models, I aim to empower my clients to direct their own therapy sessions, making their personal goals and needs known. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to find solutions to the problems that prevent you from reaching your fullest and most meaningful potential.
